Abner Woolman's Journal, 1770-1772.

Pamphlet bound together made up of two smaller pamphlets loosely sewn together. Much of the document is in John Woolman's hand, and some is in his brother Abner's. The document is Abner Woolman's diary which John Woolman finished after Abner's death. It also has information about Woolman's submitting work to the Committee for approval before publication in August 1772.

Burlington Monthly Meeting was established in 1678. It became part of Burlington Quarterly Meeting in 1682. At the time of the Hicksite Separation of 1827, the meeting split into Hicksite and Orthodox branches. Burlington Monthly Meeting (Hicksite) removed all its business sessions to Rancocas in 1907. It reunited with Philadelphia Yearly Meeting (Orthodox) in 1955 and changed its name to "Rancocas Monthly Meeting" in 1959. Rancocas Monthly Meeting is currently an active monthly meeting. ...
